Our mission
Revealing the power of maps as a lever for democracy, so that everyone can take hold of them, see the world differently, spark debate and help decide the future of the places we live in.
Our four ambitions
Celebrating the diversity of uses
Finding your way, telling a story, managing a forest, defending a right, imagining a territory: topographic, statistical, historical, subjective or artistic maps - celebrating that richness.
Inventing new maps
Inventing the forms of writing we still lack to make this century's great questions legible: counter-cartographies, participatory maps made with residents.
Strengthening the sovereignty of our maps
Reducing our dependence on Big Tech, which imposes a commercial and uniform vision of the world - through geographic commons and European alternatives.
Bringing in more people
From children to decision-makers, widening the coalition to go from 115 to 1,000 events at Map Day 2027, compared with the first edition.
