For Map Day 2027, we dream of lighting up 1,000 points on the map. To get there, word of mouth and recommendations are essential!
We were lucky enough to count on more than 115 outstanding contributors for the first Map Day.
If you would like to keep growing the success of Map Day, we invite you to join our ambassador programme. Two roles seem essential to us: sponsor ambassador and operational ambassador (see details below).

The network is being built. Two complementary roles are needed to carry Map Day in a given area.
Level 01 · Sponsor
They open doors in their area.
Decision-maker, elected official, business leader, head of an institution. Uses their network to present Map Day at the right meeting, the right event, at the right time.
- Win over elected officials, decision-makers and key local figures.
- Spot calls for projects, grants and local sponsorship opportunities.
- Spread the word to the local press, especially around Map Day.

- ~30 min to 4 h / month

- 4 meetings / year

- 1 year, renewable
Level 02 · Operational
They give people on the ground the keys.
Digital inclusion worker, local government officer, community organiser, teacher. The Sponsor opens the door; the Operational ambassador makes things happen.
- Support teams on the ground: explain Map Day, help with logistics.
- Make sure an event actually takes place, debrief, stay in touch.
- Keep watch: spot local initiatives and key moments.

- ~1 to 4 h / month
