A diverse and committed collective
The collective is made up of the partners, the steering committee members, the ambassadors, everyone who supports the initiative and lends a hand here and there, everyone who has already taken part, and the operational team.
The operational team
The operational team of La République des Cartes changes shape with the seasons and the projects. We are especially grateful to the teams of our partners and supporters, and to all the contributors who bring La République des Cartes to life throughout the year - and above all at Map Day. Among them, the following people keep the whole thing running:

Emmanuelle Roux
Co-lead of La République des Cartes, chief of staff to the director general of IGN

Towards a network of ambassadors
The network is being built. Two complementary roles are needed to carry Map Day in a given area.
Level 01 · Sponsor
They open doors in their area.
Decision-maker, elected official, business leader, head of an institution. Uses their network to present Map Day at the right meeting, the right event, at the right time.
- Win over elected officials, decision-makers and key local figures.
- Spot calls for projects, grants and local sponsorship opportunities.
- Spread the word to the local press, especially around Map Day.
- Commitment
- ~30 min to 4 h / month
- Circle
- 4 meetings / year
- Term
- 1 year, renewable
Level 02 · Operational
They give people on the ground the keys.
Digital inclusion worker, local government officer, community organiser, teacher. The Sponsor opens the door; the Operational ambassador makes things happen.
- Support teams on the ground: explain Map Day, help with logistics.
- Make sure an event actually takes place, debrief, stay in touch.
- Keep watch: spot local initiatives and key moments.
- Commitment
- ~1 to 4 h / month
- Circle
- 4 meetings / year
- Term
- 1 year, renewable
